Did Jim Hummel drop a programming bomb on WPRO just now?

Did I hear Jim Hummel just say he was coming to WPRO? Is this Depetro having to leave for the 'ratings Scandal'? A caller put him on the hot seat and Jim backed off. Wow man, if it is true, wasn't it Depetro that got Hummel started in talk radio? Wow Wow!!

Hey, hope everyone had a great christmas. Hope we all keep our jobs!

That would be Just Desserts for the Independent Egomaniac.

I'd love to see Jim Hummel on. He's very to the left on most issues. He even celebrated Kwanza!
I've met Mrs Haynes once and we spoke about her line up briefly. She said she had no idea her station was so far to the right. She'd try and get some from the left on. She mentioned Deb Rigerio, but Hummel is even better.

Jim Hummel could celebrate "Mother-In-Law's Day" if he wanted to, and I would still listen!!!

Simply put, I caught some of Jim Hummel last week, and I thought it was some of the best local talk radio I've heard in quite a while.

In his career, Hummel has shown himself to be competent and capable at whatever he's done here in local media...first as a reporter for the Providence Journal, and then making the move to TV as a reporter for Channel 6.

I'm convinced that if talk radio is what Hummel wants to do, he would be well worth listening to. It would certainly give me a reason to tune into 630/99.7 more often. ;)

Been absent from these boards for a while but, lets attempt a come back...

Deb Rigerio? Would never in a million years happen, especially with Hummel on the market. First of all, aside from her weekend show isn't she just a sales rep over there now? Second of all, I don't see WPRO alienating their senior citizen demo by putting her on morning drive.

Hey Depetro, as Haberman would say, "here's your hat, what's your hurry?"
