Did KTXL drop LATV?

I have noticed that Comcast no longer carries LATV which was on KTXL 40.2. Did KTXL drop LATV or was it simply Comcast dropping the channel? KTXL's website doesn't mention LATV anymore.
 
I am surprised that KTXL didn't simply replace LATV with another programming option instead of eliminating 40.2? They could have picked up the Retro Television Network?
