Did "Movin'" just Move Out?

As of 6PM this evening, WMVN (96.7 Oswego) is no longer Dance/Rhythmic AC as “Movin’.” It is now relaying WOLF-FM (105.1 DeRuyter.) So, I wonder, are WMVU (100.3 Sylvan Beach) and (translator) 96.5 still “Movin’,” or did “Movin’” just move into the history books? If someone could please check the 100.3 frequency, this curious mind would be greatful. Thanks.

Movin is still on 100.3 and 96.5! I knew this was going to happen. B104 has strong numbers in Oswego County. 96.7 is much better suited as a Country simulcast than a Movin simulcast.

Just published a story after talking with Foxfur VP/Station Manager Sam Furco:
http://www.cnyradio.com/2009/11/30/foxfur-flips-oswegos-96-7-from-movin-to-wolf-simulcast/

Basically confirms the change, why they did it, and a few other updates about WOLF-FM.
Also some call letter changes... basically MOViN 100.3 (formerly WMVU) is now WMVN. And the 96.7 signal is now WWLF-FM.

MOViN keeps 96.5 because it's just a translator aimed to hit downtown Syracuse... not in danger of being flipped because WOLF-FM already has its own downtown-aimed translator at 98.3. (There's news about that in the above article, also.)

Is Movin' slowly changing their format or targeted audience? They seem to be playing a lot more currents lately that don't quite fit the "music to make you feel good" moniker. I think the original format was a good one and if they had stuck to it they could have made inroads to their core, but now the music selection is way too wide to the point that it's getting schizophrenic (going from a top 10 current that's leaning towards rap to Madonna's "Holiday" at 9:00 at night is just weird) and it seems that's just going to alienate anyone, regardless of their age, because there's no focus.

Most of the Movin station across the US have made the switch to more currents and less oldies. I like the change. After a while the oldies get burnt. It is just like if a rock station plays classic rock and new rock.
