DID 'RXP IMPROVE?

I haven't heard much talk about this station as of late, but I do remember when it first came out, that there was such "venom" about the playlist.

Since things have been quiet, let me ask. Has the station sounded any better? What improvements have they done to tighten their sound? And if the station still sounds the same, what do you think should be done to improve the sound?

Since I enjoy a little alternative, surprisingly RXP did indeed shape up. I believe they either had a 2.3 or a 2.5 and over 2 million in cume. some of the G-Rock fans down here are actually getting adjusted to RXP's flow.

The station definitely sounds more focused than it did when it first started, with an emphasis on alternative and other more sophisticated brands of rock. While the playlist is still diverse, it no longer feels so much like an aimless mish-mash of every type of rock. The presentation has improved as well, with punchier imaging, and the jocks have hit their strides. I still don't see how Van Halen, GNR, and AC/DC fit into what they're doing, but I guess a significant portion of their audience must like those bands. Aside from CBS-FM, this is the only station that can keep me engaged for an extended period of time.

It is more focused I think, not soo "all over the place" as it used to be

While the only opportunity I have to sample the station is the 4 AM hour (and their tracked "Basement" show) I can join the chorus and say that there are far less classic rock tracks on the station than there used to be.

Some of that is from K-Rock. RXP can focus on doing them instead of leaning 1 way against K-Rock and another against Q.
