Did the GM at Bakersfield's Buckley stations pass away?

In today's issue of the Bakersfield Californian a Steven Darnell is listed as having passed away on February 1st.
Is this the 48-year old Darnell hired by Brad Buckley to run stations like "KLLY","KNZR", and The Groove?
Does anyone know anything?
 
Steve just replied to my last email via Blackberry said he has a pulse and is very much alive. BAD INFO wrong guy.
