He knows what is coming because he ordered the hit on us. And we never see it coming. And we never hear it. Everything just goes dark, and we are dead.
That SOB whacked us. If this is the case, then it is a brilliant ending. We are dead, but Tony and his two "families" are not, leaving the story open to all kind of future possibilities.
