Did WBEN go for FM simulcast because of WECK

Listening to the Breeze this morning via web cast and wondering - did Entercom get wind of the WECK translator plan and go for the 107.7 simulcast pre-emptively? Maybe that was in the works while the talk format was still in place on WECK?

Could just be a coincidence, but......

WBEN has overreacted before to even the most modest of challenges. Wasn't it right around the time WHLD went talk that KB suddenly went progressive talk?

Anyone know whatever happened to my old sales colleague Dave Polito? Just curious if he landed on his feet.

Don't have any contact information for him anymore. Hope you are doing well Dave.

Dave Polito is out of the radio biz, selling for an automotive aftermarket company

Thanks for info on Mr. Polito.

So Brad Riter is going to be heard this week on 1230 AM, 102.9 FM, 930 AM and 107.7 FM.

Is that some type of record?

I don't think Brad's schedule sets a record and not just because two AMs are simulcasting on FM.

Around 2006 - 2007 Tony Caliguiri was heard weekly on his main job on WBEN with Sandy Beach.
He also appeared with Sandy on the mid morning show on WWKB. Plus Tony hosts (still does) a high school sports show Saturday mornings on WGR, and could be heard doing sports play by play on WXRL (Lancaster High?).----Four stations---Four different shows----One week.
