Did WHAS 11 miss an opportunity?

I'm watching Alabama-Virginia Tech on WBKI, but WBKI isn't showing the game in HD. I'm wondering if WHAS 11 should have put the game on 11-2 and given AccuWeather a break; it could certainly be used as leverage against cable systems to put the extra channels on a standard tier, and they wouldn't have to farm anything out to WBKI.

William, you are thinking with way to much logic here. You actually believed them when they said that OTA HD television would give us more programming?

Would have been nice of the Louisville game could have been produced in hi def, but I guess the 8th grade class WHAS gets to produce the Cardinal broadcasts aren't that advanced yet.

I would say yes, except they may have prior commitments to WBKI or the NCAA to carry games on WBKI when HAS can't carry them.
