Did you hear all the buzz about Tracy Jones around town this weekend????

The show topic today was Why you should Wash your hands.. Very compelling radio. CC might as well shut the transmiitter off from 3-6PM :)

I've been listening to Eddie and Tracey for 3 weeks and trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I just cannot. It seems like to me they are not prepared and the show needs some structure to it. They are nice guys and I don't like to see anyone fail but this is lloking bad It is like Mr. Parks knows this so he can have an excuse in insert syndicated programming into the schedule.

So JimmyJohn, are you predicting the death of the show after three weeks of intense personal listening?

Three weeks is barely time to get used to the new studio, let alone find your groove on a new show (and on a different format). Eddie's a pro. Give it a chance to work. At the very least, wait until the first trend is in before you start predicting the death of a brand new show.

I agree, Wylly. I quit listening to WEBN a long time ago for a number of reasons, but Eddie wasn't one of them. Whenever he was on and had someone with half an ounce of intelligence to spar with, it was always good radio. He's an engaging jock, and if partnered with the right sidekick could have one heck of an afternoon show.

Why don't they rescue poor Bob Berry from that abyss of a morning show on 102.7 and let him play third. They really need some more characters to add some depth to the banter.

Having Eddie replace Burbank was the idea a long time ago.

It was a better idea a long time ago because DP wasn't around to make a dimwitted mess of everything.

I would think for no other reason than to avoid bringing too much of the former morning show into Eddie's new gig. At least Bob still has a job... and that's saying something in modern day radio.

The show is getting better, though more so with Fingers than Jones. My biggest complaint: The recycling of interviews from hour 1 into hour 3. I could tolerate it with a Burbank bit such as Reds & the Restless, but why do I want to hear a congressman twice in the same show? Especially when there are time references in the interview. Also, I'm not sure which was worse, Tracy Jones asking if House Minority leader knew that the stimulus package had passed, or the fact that Boehner didn't seem to know that it did.

I heard part of that show too. I didn't listen enough to hear if it was a fabrication but it sure sounded like one.

I still highly suspect this 'show' is a complete spoof until a real host can be found.

This is prime time radio and this is the best they can offer?

You don't spoof a month into the book, especially when you know a hiring freeze is on the way from San Antonio. Not sure how CTR got hired, but glad he did, a great sports writer.
