DID YOU HEAR THAT ??

Someone asked if I heard about someone saying the "F" word  on the Sue Henry Show yesterday around 11:30am on WILK. It was a caller that said it, and quite clearly. "Where 's Bosco"? Do they use a delay? Duh..guess not.
Did anyone else hear this?

Even if you use a delay, you've got to be up and ready to use it. Often when you are doing a talk show and you are in a comfort zone, and someone drops something unexpectedly, by the time the word gets to the ear, and you react, it's too late. I know a few years ago when the X actually had someone interesting (Freddy) doing the morning show, he had a guest that dropped the F word unexpectedly. They didn't run with a delay, and the cat was out of the bag so to speak. He apologized and moved on.

Lay easy on Bosco, he's a first-class guy.

This is what happens with live radio. Let's face it, with the cut backs that are occurring in the industry today, Sue Henry is lucky to have a producer/call screener to run her show. Imagine the issues if Sue was running calls unscreened on the air.
