Didn't we all want Arlene out????

It's wierd how we're all defending and feeling sorry for Arlene, when most of you thought she was a Cancer at WHJJ.
Remember when Arlene had Linda Diaz fired. For no reason.
Remember when Arlene had Doug Mcgougal fired. She threatened him too. It was all over about that.
Now Arlene gets a taste of her own medicine and we are offended by it.
We all believed she was awful. We all believed she was manipulating and dragging WHJJ down.
Linda, Doug and others were kicked out of WHJJ by her ordering it.
Most of us were DREAMING of this day.
Amazing what we're saying now.. Walter.

Oh trust me. I'm not shedding tears that she's gone. But it doesn't mean that she should not have been given some respect for her service. A final broadcast shouldn't be to much to ask for anyone.

Hi Skynet,
Heres the thing;,When Arlene was on that Thursday, she had about 20 callers bashing the station.
Not once did she challenge them. She would say, "Jim Corwin and Bill Georgre are good guys" " Had no choice" all that stuff.
Callers were saying "Hannity is a 'filty pig' 'This station sucks' 'Boycott hjj' 'Im listening to Dan at pro'.
AND SHE SAID NOTHING!
I would have pulled her!
She was given more than she gave. She got what she deserved. Walter

How much drama and backstabbing goes on not just on Oxford but elsewhere that doesn't make it on this board? I'm not saying it should but if it did people would see radio people are no angels and nice guys get swallowed up. What goes around doesn't always come around. Some people get screwed and just walk away with their heads down but never tell their side of the story because they end up developing a distaste not just for the business but for the people in it and I don't mean just management. You ("Walter") sound like you know what goes on in that building firsthand or through friends. Then you should know radio sucks and then you die. Don't get me started.

Aqualung, I went back several pages on Radio info to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
The old posts talk about Linda D., Doug, and all the nasty things Arlene did at HJJ.
I have also known Doug P. and Joannie for years. Nothing but sympathy for them too.
I know what you mean by 'Don't get me started'. Just that all these posts of ' poor innocent Arlene'.
It's not what most of us were saying 2 months or 2 years ago. Walter

her show was over years ago. I just think people want local in that slot(3-6). She always seemed on vacation or heading on a cruise.
No tears. But HJJ should go local 3-6. Heard York struggling to get phone calls yesterday(2 calls from 3-4:30).
The death of HJJ could mean the death of AM in RI...only local show and 2 calls in 90 minutes...
WADK gets more calls...

I'm shedding tears over WHJJ becomming a syndication nightmare not over the dismissal of Arlene Violet.
Arlene should have been bounced years ago and as far as I'm concerned the handling of her dismissal was
just desserts after the way she bullied and mistreated others.
In fact I'm the one who suggested perhaps Arlene's own behind the scene actions is what brought about
her Thursday night dismissal (complete with an escort out of the buuilding) and the cancellation of her final
show.
Would that really be a surprise to any of us??

Your question,,,,, " Did't we all want Arlene out????

Answer, YES, WE DID!!!

THANK YOU LORD!!!
