Difference between Q104 and their HD2 Station?

I'll admit, I don't know classic rock very well. So this may seem an absurd question to those that know that format better.

What exactly is the difference between Q104 and their "Deep Tracks? HD2" format? s the HD2 supposed to be older music, (similar to 106.7 Lite vs Classic Lite)?

Deep Tracks is supposed to just go deeper into less "mainstream" classic rock titles than what one would hear on the analog/HD1 station. It's a bit different from "Classic Lite," which generally plays older lite music that is no longer heard on Lite FM.

That said, it seems that plenty of mainstream titles seem to find their way into the "deep tracks" playlist.

Yeah, apparently they consider the Chili Peppers' "Give It Away" a deep track, for one.

Well, "Give It Away" was a song that K-ROCK and more active rock-leaning stations played, while the classic and mainstream rock stations only played "Under The Bridge", "Breaking The Girl", "Soul To Squeeze" and other "lighter" RHCP tracks.

A real RHCP "deep track" would be "Knock Me Down" or anything earlier than "Blood Sugar Sex Magik".
