Forgive me if "Best of My Love" by the Eagles and a different "Best of My Love" by The Emotions is buried somewhere in this thread; I haven't seen it yet.
One of two examples (that I am aware of) in which both titles were #1 hits. The other one is "Venus," by both Frankie Avalon and by Shocking Blue.

There's another---"My Love", McCartney & Wings, also Petula Clark.

I believe there are a couple more now, but I don't follow the charts like I used to.

cd

"Walk On By" - Leroy Van Dyke
"Walk On By" - Dionne Warwicke

"I Saw the Light" by Hank Williams and "I Saw the Light" by Todd Rundgren.

"Goin' Down," Monkees
"I'm Goin' Down," Bruce Springsteen
Goin' Down-Greg Guidry

Jungle Love-Steve Miller
Jungle Love-The Time

Wild Wild West-Kool Moe Dee (& Will Smith)
Wild Wild West-Escape Club

Happened to have Seacrest on over the weekend (hey, the hot AC station here carries his countdown!), and he mentioned that they have two different songs with the title "Perfect" on the countdown, and he said that that was the first time since 2004 that they have had two different songs with the same title on the countdown at the same time. I didn't catch the names of the artists who had "Perfect" songs, and I don't know who had the two same-title songs back in '04. You'll have to ask your kids about those! ;D

I recall a minor country hit called "Perfect," by Baillie and the Boys. It charted in 1990. I wasn't listening to much CHR in 2004, so I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't imagine either of the 2004 "Perfect"s is the same song.

The two "Perfect"s are on the countdown now. He didn't give the title that was represented on the charts twice in 2004. And I remember playing the Baillie and the Boys' "Perfect" when I was working at my first station (country, of course) in 1990-1991.

Oops, misread that. Nobody's perfect.
