Difficult time in radio leads to downsizing in Youngstown

3 more of our brothers and sisters are out of work as of this morning. If you know them, reach out with a phone call or email.

CUMULUS/YOUNGSTOWN parted ways this morning with 3 veteran air personalities, Classic Rock WYFM (Y-103) night time legend DAVE MESSERSMITH is out after 23 years on the air, and Country WQXK (K-105) night jock BURTON LEE and morning show co-host K-MAN.

YESTERDAY Top 40 WHOT reportedly let all part time air staff go.

Guess WKDD lost a sister too huh (cough) John?! ::)

Wow. My heart goes out to them. Hot 101 is nearly a shell of what it use to be back when I grew up Ala mid-late 90's early this decade.

Most stations in many markets larger than here have cut nights--and even mid days (or afternoon drive)--to syndication or tracking.
