Digi-TV coming to Phoenix market Sept. 27

On Sept. 27, KTVW-DT is adding a new general entertainment diginet to their lineup called Digi-TV, to be on channel 33.5. The diginet will be English-language and features several British and Australian shows. That, in itself, should be something new instead of the same retreads seen on a lot of general entertainment diginets today.

Here in Houston I had thought DigiTV would replace Grit on UniMas KFTH 67.3, as Grit has recently been added to Ion's KPXB 49.3. However Rabbitears.info is saying it will launch on Univision KXLN 45.5. In any case keep an eye on your Univision O&O's and affiliates.

Likewise, I thought we might be losing Grit on Univision's KTVW 33.3 since it's duplicated on Inyo's KPPX 51.7 or on Scripps' KASW 61.2, but they just added another subchannel. I'm trying to get confirmation for Tucson, Yuma/El Centro and Las Vegas, the latter two being Entravision affililates rather than Univision or UniMas O&O's.

Tucson has been confirmed on KUVE 46.5, but the DigiTV rep did not confirm Yuma or Las Vegas. My contact in Vegas, however, was told that they are on DigiTV's radar.
