DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME QUESTION

This frame is a PhotoShare 7D. It did not come with a memory card but says "if desired you can transfer photos from Mac or PC.
I plug it in, turn it in it goes on. I plug it's USB port into it & then into computer & it shuts off.
The pc notices it's attached (as "drive G)... but until I take memory card out of digital camera & put it in the frame nothing happens.

Is the only way to get this thing to work is delete everything from the memory card, reload card up with old pics stored in "my pics" & then it may work? ??? Thanks & Happy Holidays!

Try powering up the frame with the card already in it. It might have to recognize that there is a "source" there. I have to do that with my Fuji hand cam.

Well I already returned it for a refund. Info on package was misleading & vague. This was going to be a gift for people in their 70s & there was too much to do just to get the slide show going plus would have had to buy another memory card which they fail to tell you on the box. For someone like me who's not familiar with these frames, the way they made it sound was you could either load it up full pics from your pc OR pics from your camera memory card. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Fred, thanks though!
