digital radio not worth it?

this is a hot topic in the UK and the forums are buzzing. As it happens Gcap media are getting rid of that person and maybe getting taken over. DAB has many problems yes but it's certainly not dead. In fact another national multiplex is due to launch later this year bringing what 10 new stations to DAB or allowing others to go national. The problem lies with the old 1995 standard in part. MP2 so although 128k stereo in MP3 is CD quality you would require 192k for MP2 and for the most part quantity over quality is employed and there are many 'jukebox station' that are fully automated or very nearly
