Digital subcarrier must-carry

As I understand the rules cable/satellite providers are not required to (but may) carry the subchannels of a local station they carry. Retrans or must carry is irrelevant to that. Can anyone confirm/deny that's correct please? Thanks.

VERY GOOD QUESTION......I know subchannels have to carry there share of E/I programming.I would think Subchannels at some point will have to be carried.

If a full-power station opts for must-carry, then cable/sat providers are not required to carry more than one programming stream. I believe it can be any programming stream; it doesn't have to be the primary (.1) subchannel.
