Directv bring back Sirius/Xm Jan 20th 2013?

There was alot of rumors that saying DIRECTV was going to bring back Sirius/XM Radio On Jan 20th As I check DIRECTV was still doing SonticTap Music. This was heating up so fast but still nothing yet. Any information about this?

Could be a hoax as they saying that DIRECTV is bringing back Sirius/XM music channels but nothing as DIRECTV still showing SonicTap Music Channels. Someone said they heard on it the Morining Mashup and the whole thing starting from there.

Once again there is no Sirius/XM music channels on DIRECTV. DIRECTV is still showing and playing SonicTap Music Channels in the 800's

I don't see DirecTV getting it. Dish should have gotten exclusive rights.

I actually wish satellite and cable companies would make the music channels optional. They pay a good amount of money on music channels and could pass the savings off to subscribers.

ESPN adds over $4 to everyone's cable bill whether you watch it or not; it's time for "a la carte" cable so you can pay for the 6 channels you watch and not the 250 you don't watch, or music service option as well.

I hope not, I like sonic tap a lot better than XM/Sirus, XM mest up when they went to Sirus.

Some do, in my area it is basic with Comcast, but not with Atlantic Broadband.
I liked accessing them directly from a TV without the need for a "box".

You are right, and most people would welcome this approach.
Unfortunately the charge would then be about eight dollars per channel that you want.
Why not just lock out the channels you don't watch and pretend you only have the ones you do, in effect, that is already the case.

My point is that whether they filter out the channels you don't watch or you do, the result is the same. Plus, in a large family, each member can have their own half dozen channels and collectively pay about as much as one would pay.

"I assume it's super high-quality audio, too, or is it compressed and compromised audio?"

48000 Hz/192Kb/s CBR joint stereo MP2, so.......you decide.

Personally, anything MP2 that's lower than 256 Kb/s in stereo is considered super-compressed and compromised, so I'm going to say yes.
