Dirty Gringos Cowbell

Have anyone hread a dance song Dirty Gringos (Cowbell) before?? I have a few times when BPM XM-81 plays it. Is there CD is out with that song?? I look at Best Buy Cirucit City and they dont have it or havent hread it before. Is there any info if they have a CD in the USA?? In fact when I hear a Dance song on my XM Radio and I like it I go to best buy to find it and they dont have it b/c the DANCE seticon getting smaller and smaller as the other music like Rap and Pop/Rock and others gets bigger in stores.

Yes, I had been looking fo it as well. I was told it's a white label and not available to the public.

It samples a "Saturday Night Live" skit in which Christopher Walken plays a music producer who tells a reunited rock band he's working with that their only 'prescription' for their comeback album is using cowbells instead of their own instruments.

I believe the reason the track hasn't been released may have to do with clearances from the show. But If I remember correctly that track does show up on Ultra's "Ministry Of Sound: The Annunal 2004" compilation.

Yeah, that track was only released as a promo to dj's, and was never commercially available. But as far as finding dance music in stores like Best Buy, etc. I definately agree with you. The selection of dance available in the U.S. (from U.S. labels) is very poor. I would definately reccomend buying imports from Europe. Tower Records carries a lot of import dance stuff from the U.K. and is a good source for import dance CD singles and compilations. I have ordered a lot of stuff from their website (www.towerrecords.com) and also I always stock up everytime I'm in a city where there is a Tower location. Virgin Megastore is decent for imports too (but Tower has a better selection).
