Dirty Talk & The signs of a brighter future

Well, I must admit that although there are tons of things going on this year that I haven't spoken much on that I would've been super crazy about if it happened at this time last year, I'm pretty excited about what the summer and second half of 2010 may have to offer. I've checked a few promo services and I'm beginning to see certain new hits popping up on the RADIO series of these promos that I was hoping would eventually get some radio attention in the U.S. Combine this with the fact that we now have proof that just because songs don't make it right away, that doesn't mean down the road it wont succeed. Look at what happened with La Roux and Taio Cruz!

Now, I'm seeing that "wont go quietly" by Example (something I posted about last year) is on one of the latest X-Mix Rhythm Radioactive series, and I also have a feeling that Wynter Gordon's "dirty talk" will eventually pick up here in the U.S.

THE 3 REASONS OF PROOF TO SUPPORT MY DIRTY TALK THEORY:
1. It's doing very well in the UK, the same way "break my heart" did before crossing over. The only difference really is Taio Cruz didn't have any past successes in the U.S. WYNTER GORDON has, with her featured vocals in Flo Rida's hit "sugar", therefore she's pretty much officially "already in the game". I also had that feeling within me when Taio cruz dropped "break my heart" that at some point eventually it would HAVE to cross over because people would not be able to just "sleep on that".

2. Dirty Talk is already receiving early mixshow play on stations like Power 106 and Movin 99.7, the same way Black Eyed Peas "rock that body" was getting early attention in certain regional mixshows many months ago before really showing any sure signs of possible mainstream release or success. While I was expecting "rock that body" to be released as a radio hit many months back, I was a bit hoodwinked by all the other songs they kept releasing around it, almost to the point that I started believing "rock that body" was never going to be an official release. However, now I see that "rock that body" is possibly & finally going to be the official next release.

3. The tune has undeniable quality and good sound to it. It's catchy, and it's one of those songs you just know people will be drawn to once they hear & learn about it. It also fits that PERFECT, PRECISE SOUND for how far mainstream dance sounds have come and where we "should" be today. A straight up dance hit, while still perfect for top 40 and rhythmic radio, WITHOUT even containing any rap! I even think it's more advanced than Kelis's "Acapella"! Imagine "dirty talk" just coming on on your RHYTHMIC radio station, exactly the way it is right now! That's even deeper than "sexy chick" or any dance remix of a pop song.

Wynter Gordon's "Dirty Talk" seems to be showing all the "re-warning" signs of a potential future "out of nowhere" hit.

Well, I'm excited about it, and I'm surely excited about the other things to come as well that many of us are still completely unaware of. It seems as if this year came in with a slow start, but now the new hits are beginning to roll in successfully, and HALF of the full successes seem to be 120 bpm or higher! This is not even including those slower songs that are blatantly throwing in trancey electronic elements into their productions! I'm also happy about the fact that much hit music today is becoming more meaningful lyrically. With all this going on, in addition to dance mixshows and syndications once again being brought back and considered on many stations, it seems like the future is looking pretty bright right now.
