Disappointing News

I just heard that WJFK hired Greg Gillispie, formerly of Clear Channel Pittsburgh.

I am a buyer for an ad agency in Pittsburgh. I can tell you firsthand this guy is not to be trusted. He couldn't grasp the simplest of ideas, and he not only cost our agency, but also CC Pittsburgh.

He also was able to make a great sounding station sound like crap within the time they had him running things. He took a hot sounding oldies station and made it into a slow lite AOR.

I heard the horror stories from my sales rep about how he set internal conflicts within his own staff, both sales and programming. He is not to be trusted.

Let this be a warning to the staff of WJFK. You have my sympathies.

did he sleep with your wife or something? He's gone- you should lay off.
You're getting into personal attacks, a violation of R-I rules.

No, this is NOT a personal attack. I am just warning the staff of WJFK. The staff and the managers who hired this guy(how he went by the radar, who knows?) need to know he is not to be trusted. That is the sentiment of many people, I am just the town crier for it on this forum of radio professionals.

Until you've met or worked with the guy, you'd understand. Why would you stick up for this guy? That, I don't get.

He's is gone, but these people need to know what they're having to deal with. I am only concerned for their well-being. And OC, that is no joke.
