Discovery Channel going back to "science"

I noticed that Discovery Channel's biker/hotrod shows are being moved over to their sister cable channel TLC (formerly known as The "Learning" Channel). What does one "learn" from the "bleep"-fest called American Chopper? And what is Discovery replacing the biker shows with, more Mythbusters?

Many moons ago The Discovery Channel would air lots of programs about animals in Africa. They now have their own channel. Then they started showing lots of real life medical programs along with TLC. Now they also have their own channel. In between these Discovery would feature some superior documentries on par with PBS and the History Channel, like the one on Titanic. But at some point they shelved all of that and now Discovery along with it's multiple sister channels are former shells of themselves.

Except for "Mythbusters", there's really nothing on Discovery I'd watch anymore.

Same here! Great show - bracketed by lackluster ones. Let's hope for better in the future.

And, I remember the days when I would actually watch TLC quite a bit - remember what 'T.L.C.' once stood for? The Learning Channel! And, it used to be full of interesting programming.

Now, there isn't one good show on that channel. It's all crap like renovating houses and cooking. Now American Chopper is moving there - which is fine; I never thought that this type of programming belonged on Discovery.
