Discuss latest 12 + ratings (can't quote actual numbers)

The latest 12 + ratings are out; at radioandrecords.com (click ratings then Boston).

1) you can't quote actual numbers
2) the 25-54s which we aren't allowed to see unless we subscribe might be more important

5 pm they're up!

'BZ and Jamn 94.5 tied for top. Slight uptick for 94.5--maybe got small part of WILD-FM audience.

EEI just the tiniest notch under (Red Sox stretch run--well, for awhile...)

Country 99.5 in sixth place! Still ranked second (2nd only to WMJX) among the 5 GM stations in town.
No wonder they're opting to put it on that new 102.5 signal...it does pretty well, considering this
town wasn't all that much into country not long ago.

WRKO very slight downtick, WTKK very slight uptick. So, among the all-talk stations, WRKO
ranks #1 in town (again, WBZ not all talk). I don't think WTTT showed up at all, again.

No WWZN or ESPN 890/1400 to be seen.

very slight uptick for AAR stations, but still beaten by 250 watt WJIB

Oldies 103.3 down slightly but still good enough for 5th place
WKAF (formerly WILD-FM) went down as did WAAF

No change for Mike

'BCN up a bit. O&A helping?

I am getting bored with Mike, happy to hear that Oldies is still doing well. Will this finally quell rumors that Oldies is going to flip formats after Christmas? Probably not.

Mike is doing well enough that they won't change it, I guess. Pretty sure that WODS will be the first to
flip to all Christmas and I don't think they'll flip formats--though maybe a minor tweak--perhaps they somehow change the word "Oldies" to something else (prob. not) and/or add more 80s stuff...But if it ain't broke...

When Oldies had their Women artists weekend, they played quite a bit of 80's stuff.

Also, I think that you are right about Mike.

I wonder if CBS will do anything about WBCN at all?

I often wonder if nearly all of AAR's listenership such as it is on WXKS/WKOX occurs Monday thru Friday 6:00 am untill local sunset. The weekend is all best-of shows or shows with little audience-appeal, like "Ring of Fire" or "The Mother Jones Report." If the daytime M-T-WT-F number is reasonably higher, CCU may be getting all it wants from 1430/1200 for now.

RKO does NOT improve in the numbers I'm seeing, these being the 12+. The number of listeners appears to be shrinking across the dial, one exception being WCRB.

These are summertime numbers, so they're not as important as, say, the ratings period we're now in.

I thought WEEI would do better, even with the Sox meltdown. I'm sure it does better 25-54, though.
