How Will I Know, Take On Me, Lean On Me, You Give Love A Bad Name, Everybody Have Fun Tonight.....and a million others.

We Are The World with the announcer (I don't remember who) tell who the artist was in the song right before they sang their part.

"Life is a Highway" by Tom Cochrane. Y-107 burned that one out so badly that first summer I was here (1992) that I still change the dial whenever it comes on! And that also goes for the Rascal Flatts version, and any TV commercial that uses "Life is a Highway" as theme music. Enough already!

In the mid 80's I seem to recall "Along Comes a Woman" by Chicago and "All I Need is a Miracle" by Mike & the Mechanics playing at least once an hour (or so it seemed).

"Don't Worry, Be Happy" B. McFerrin
"Rumors" Timex Social Club
"Big Time" and "Sledgehammer" P. Gabriel
"Addicted to Love" R. Palmer

These songs make me hear a tooky bird.

At least once an hour.LOL But in all fairness, KDF was playing that song at least once an hour also.;)

30+ years ago when I worked in Top40 radio, we played Dreams by Fleetwood Mac over and over and over to the point we wore out the mono side of the 45 and had to flip to the stereo side. Whenever I hear that song today, I immediately change the station. :p

Years and years and years ago while listening to the old KDA FM, I clearly remember hearing Dave Walton make this comment on KDA's playing Layla by Derek and the Dominoes. Walton said: It's official we will no longer play this song for awhile since we all througly sick of this song. LOL I never will forget his saying that. He might not even remember saying that, but it was classic. I remember KDA FM first introduced that song as an album cut. I think a year later it started geting airplay on top 40 stations. By that time, Layla was played to the point where it was making DJs and listeners physically ill. Oh well, what can one do?

mildly off topic: back in the old WGFX "The Fox" days...I came out of
one more play of Janis Joplin's "Bobby McGhee" with the clever line
"don't let the fact that you can't sing either deter you from a career in rock and roll"

the phones were lit for 30 minutes: I assumed that since I didn't care for Joplin...no one else did either.
I was wrong.

Chris, I'm in your corner. I didn't care for her either.
