DISH and FOX

Pat Cook said:
if DISH is taking off ALL News Corp. properties, that would include MyNetwork TV.

In Denver, that would include Gannett-owned KTVD 20...

I don't think KTVD is included, as that station was never owned by Fox; before Gannett, Mediaweb was its owner. The dispute only involves stations owned by Fox, as well as former Fox-owned stations on an expiring contract.

I heard one of the "getwhatipaidfor.com" spots on local radio, and it specifically mentioned WJW.

It sounded like an official spot. I'm going to scratch around South Marginal and see if anyone knows the story behind this... it seems a bit odd that Fox would actually produce a spot mentioning WJW if it wasn't involved, though Fox Sports Ohio certainly is (and is off Dish now).

DISH Network, FOX reach an agreement...

From Broadcasting & Cable:

Dish/Fox Reach Retrans Deal

Roughly two days before its retransmission consent agreement for more than two dozen Fox Networks owned and operated stations were set to expire, Dish Network has reached a carriage deal that not only avoids a blackout of the broadcast networks, but restores more than 20 cable channels that have been dark on the satellite giant for nearly one month.

I noticed as I was checking the lineup this morning. I'm glad they reached a deal. I just wonder how much it will cost me and all DISH Network subscribers?
