Dish Network issues...again

I don't have Dish Network, but I remember last year Lifetime and OLN/Vs. scathing attack ads after being dropped by Dish. Now this year it appears to be CourtTV...

I saw an ad on sister network CNN asking viewers to call an 800 number to find out about to get Court TV.

It seems to me that Dish Network is the good guy here. They are trying to keep prices low, so low that they will go without giving their customers the affected network for a few days to get it. In 2004, they dropped all of the CBS/Viacom networks for a few days for this reason.

They've done the same thing with Disney in the past, also.

I used to have DISH and they will always fight the huge rate increases that channels/companies propose. As they should.

Lifetime Networks realized the behemoth they were fighting and exactly how many people were affected. Lifetime Networks finally came down to Earth. Some of these companies (CBS/VIACOM and Lifetime Networks) think they can get away strong-arming sattelite and cable companies by simply raising their costs for their channels. While cable will lay down and take it, DISH Network will not.

And good for them!

I wonder how many calls those ads will generate? Somehow, I have a hard time imagining that Court TV is on many viewers' lists of "got to have" networks.
