Mr CBUS,
No disrespect, gentlemen, but your biases are showing, and certainly
counter to what most in the industry would call "good radio" (BTW,
biases are fine, we all have them; mine are obvious).
I have read similar praises from you about QFM, and now Woody.
Conversely, you have maintained WNCI as a horrible station.
The industry has showered that station with more awards that you can name,
and their morning show is now syndicating. WNCI plays Top 40, so it gets
absolutely no help from any critics. I've worked in Top 40, so I know what
that format is always up against. I am biased to WNCI, for it has done
amazing things (except for recently, heh). Maybe someone at that
station spat at you, you don't like the music, or you root for underdogs.
If your own biases are to be taken at face value, you would consider
"just hanging out" between songs is the mark of great radio. And that,
to me, is just not earning a number #1 anything.
We do agree in this; country is on fire, and that high tide has raised all boats
(or shows) on the water. I guess the best description is "Rascal Flats just
won morning drive", and Woody pressed the button.
That was my point.
