Display Issue to Display Dead

Well, the dim display dropped dead today. RS was kind enough to just swap the radio and power supply so I didn't have to take down the antennas and pack up the manual and everything.
 
I'm happy to hear that RS stood behind your purchase! 'Hope #2 works out. Remember, Second time an optimist... Third time 'SEE YA :mad:

What was that, I said about Chinese-made... hmmmmm...and something, about having to erect an antenna-farm, to receive HD radio signals... hmmmmm... :D
 
To be fair, a dial string could have slipped off even when production was here in the US.
But that was easily repaired back then.


As these are not intended to be serviceable in any way, they are built under the "Dorito" concept; keep crunchin', we'll make more.

This is probably the normal failure rate, first failure mentioned here. I don't think these radios will turn out to be more failure
prone than any other simillar electronics with large scale integration.
