Diva 92.3

I picked this station up over by 281 and 1604 intersection. I picked it up crystal clear and stopped at Las Palapas to listen. It was Diva 92.3 from New Orleans, LA! How could a signal that far reach all the way over here?

Diva 92.3 is basically a station to "bring out the diva in you," as the jingle says. It's Rhythmic AC mixed with dance and old school hip hop.

Good catch! While you still remember the time and what was playing, you should look up the web site and send their engineering staff an email with a reception report.

You can blame tropospheric ducting for the unusual reception.

What for? Diva 92.3 is better then half the station we have in here in San Antonio.

Well I caught the station arond 4am (after daylight savings time ended) and I was going eastbound on 1604 pretty much at the traffic light where 1604 and 281 intersect. At the time there were commericals playing, then the jingle and a few dance songs, I know one of them was a dance version of a Scissor Sisters song, n then Young MC "Bust A Move." Maybe Jammin 94.1 could go to their website, http://www.diva923.com/ and check it out.
It's a very diverse playlist and goes beyond the dance/rhythmic format by adding pop/rock and hip hop. I could see this doing good here.

I didn't mean that the report would be a complaint. The report's just useful information to the engineers. When I was a kid a few decades back, engineers would reply to DX reports with a letter of thanks and some trinket from the station, like a bumper sticker. I doubt that they'll do that now, in this era of corporate radio.

I got stations from Shreveport this weekend, even durring the day!!
______________
