DJ caught stealing

You have to call in every two weeks and they ask if You worked or were You available to work.
I guess it's not too hard to lie to them .. But as You see it can come back to bite You in the ass.

Well you know what the listeners say:

Since when is being a DJ "work"?
All you do is play whatever you want,
go on cruises,
eat donuts and pizzas that the fans have brought in.
Hang out with all 'the best' people...

:-\

He may have been confused!

I'll have what this clown is drinking. Didn't report income, and he's on the radio?? Keepin' it quiet is one thing, guess he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He might as well have robbed a bank for what they will do to him for this inconsistency (wink wink)..be careful out there....

YES...an opening at Entercom. Weeknights on the Mountain. Translation -- voice tracking five five-hour shifts a week where you're actually in the room ten hours max. Pay 150 bucks weekly -- if you're lucky. That's just under 8K a year. Get those tapes and resumes ready! :D

Speaking of voicetrack, I was up earlier than usual a couple of mornings ago to take my sister and her husband to the airport and I flipped on 107 for old times sake.

This was a full day after that Rutgers coach got fired and I heard prospector and daniels which I didn't know they were on before 6 and they were talking about the coach and clearly they sounded like they hadn't heard about him getting fired yet. This was 5:30, 5:45am, in there.

Either they don't pay much attention to a thing that was ALL over the news the day before or they're recording the first half hour of their next days show when they get off the air at 10 o'clock the day before.

What's really amazing was you heard "Daniels". Jay hasn't been on the air in a long time (I think at least 2 years).

Well my mistake. I stopped regularly listening to Rock107 a couple of years ago.

Whoever the other guy is, the point is they sounded either clueless or they're voice tracking and if they are voice tracking they either didn't remember or didn't care that they did a lengthy segment about if the guy from Rutgers should be fired when he had already been fired the day before.

I'm a little surprised. I don't listen to 107 often, but when I do, the morning guys seem to be on the ball, pardon the pun.

Sorry for the late reply, I don't visit these boards as often as I used to. Sometimes we (DiRienzo & I) use a break in the half hour before 6 to play something we did later in the show the previous day. That is exactly what happened in the instance you are referring to. This tells me we need to do a better job of setting those breaks up.

Thanks
Prospector
