DJ Flee Set Free By WMNF

Due to budget cuts, WMNF (88.5) is forced to lay off employees for the first time in its thirty-year history - and one of the victims is enthusiastic music director Lee Courtney, a.k.a. "DJ Flee," who has been with the listener-supported station for a decade.

Station manager Jim Bennett said it was "the hardest thing on earth" to make the decision to lfire Courtney, as well as two others.

Budget cuts my ass. Jim Bennett never liked Flee, others offered their jobs so he could keep his. Bennett made this decision on his own, it was personal. Let's remember this is the same guy who got canned from Pacifica for stealing money, and now he's siphoning donations into his pocket at MNF.

I volunteered there and put in an application to do a comedy show from 12-3AM and got rejected. Fur reel

Huh. Never knew WMNF had paid on-air people. Just trust fund babies who thought that shaggy-haired guy named Che looked really, really cool on t-shirts.
