Checked out the 105.7 The Groove's mixshow last night and heard former 95.5 The Beat mixer DJ Kidd. I was shocked to hear a lot more hip-hop last night for some odd reason, but I heard his name in a drop and went "NO WONDER." I'll give him credit becuase he plays local hip-hop that you'd hear on HOT 107.9.

DJ KIDD MOVES TO THE GROOVE!

I guess he was the one who played EDUBB's track as well, during the booty bass set. (Edubb - "Rain Boots"). Last Saturday was hip hop heavy as well, but this past weekend at least had some exclusive tracks dropped in and it sounded more regional friendly. Some dj's that know what's good for the regional market sound..
I also notice that many of the on airs at Groove have "DJ" in their name title as well, so I'm assuming that they're not just there to be on-airs only and leave their other talents to go to waste... (in other words, more mixshows coming to the schedule line up is a huge possibility).
Hopefully Dj Richie Rich and 3 Bad Brothaz get involved with The Groove in some way.

I think Edubb "rain boots", Ginuwine "pony" (booty mix) and far east movement like a G6...etc are about to play again.... in the current mix. Probably even "I like that" by Richard Vission..
Sounds like tonights mix ended prematurely, unless of course more continues after I leave here. The one with Edubb in it repeated from last week. I don't think any sets with the other songs I mentioned repeated though.

Not saying that is or is not the case, but just wanted you to THINK about it.. And regardless, if I choose to stay home, or... wherever I'm at.... and listen to / RESEARCH The Groove at select times (the same way people love to research me and my board activity), then I have the freedom to do so as I wish (Another "think about it" moment). You have no idea where or how I'm obtaining the info I presented here to begin with, but feel free to assume how much of a life I don't have based purely on the things I might know or how much I say about dj mixes and rhythmic radio.
