This song was actually released in 2007 in South Africa, but its suddenly in the last few weeks started to blow up on the london pirates,,,, Kiss UK,,,, Galaxy UK and Choice FM,,,, as for the USA, its already getting mixshow spins at LAs Power 106, in fact go to Imeem and look for Jason Harpers Noon Time mix,, its on there,,, B-96 Chicago is playing it in the mix, as well as KZZP Phoenix, and who knows who else... Its an instrumental Kwaito house track, but very electro sounding, yet ghetto at the same time,, go to youtube and watch the official video

Yup.. this one made its rounds in clubs over the winter and now with UK Funky (UK's new sub-genre, post UK Garage) is blowing up, this falls into that category... im loving the UK Funky sound... peep these tracks:

Crazy Cousinz "Bongo Jam" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItXOvMZ5AdI
(works great for me here in NYC)

Meleka - Go - Crazy Cousinz remix - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1qKG1kJyKU

D-Malice - Gabryelle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKWR8-jwqFw

DMT - Touch You - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5AU-hHp0eQ
This one samples Rui Da Silva's vocal...

Thanks Jay D,, can you please provide a link to Township funk for me, I never could do youtube links, probably because of me sight problems...

Anyway, Township FUNk wasnt intended to be in that Genre at all,,, It is proper Kwaito HOUZE from South Africa, the beats arent even really that similar.

Not to be mean but lets not get the UKG scene in the UK anymore fragmented than it already is. UKG is still alive and well in London. That Maleka-Go track is pretty hot over there right now so its quality,,, Bongo Jam is okay but its no future classic.. The D-Malice isnt really UK music at all, even though they use that UKG beat, the producers of D-Malice are originally from Baltimore and NYC, and they both now live in small town North Carolina and have never been to the UK, so its not real UKG... The last track I think is pretty lame, the DMT-Touch Me, he is trying to be like UKG, Bassline House, and Grime AKA Uk Hip Hop all at once, but the production is lame and in my opinion he cant rap for Shizit....... Bassline house is usually pretty lame except for some quality stand out tracks like t2 heartbroken,,, its not really part of UKG and its definately not the rebirth of Speed Garage, those cheesy basslines sound like someone Farting into a Pillow.... Also Kid Cudi did a great job of fusing those genre's to create a Pop Rhythmic friendly record, so it can be done, but their are so many bad white lables, and lame Youtube bedroom Mixes in that Genre,,, if they dont be careful what Bassline is okay to mix in with UKG, it could kill both genre's.
