DJ quits on the air....FAKE?

I remember when the "Regular Guys" quit KLSX on the air. Oh, they stayed on until the end of their shift, but for at least an hour they were going on about how station management were all idiots, working conditions were ridiculous, and they wanted to just get off the air and out of the building right now. But they said "we're professionals, we will stay on until 3:00, and then we are outta here for good".

And so they were. I think they next turned up doing mornings in Atlanta. Great radio for that hour though, in a watching a trainwreck kinda way. Loved the way they took you inside the dysfunction on their way off the air and out the door. Note they haven't worked in this town since.

This jock in Jacksonville on WFYV Rock 105 WAS part of a stunt since he had a new job waiting, and the station was bringing back to the market one of the classic Top 40 jocks, "The Greaseman," who ironically not with the station any longer either. Hmm...

The REAL on-air resignation was 'Inetta the Moodsetta' on WBLX Mobile, Alabama, lovingly titled "I QUIT THIS B*ITCH" (August 2006 according to the Wikipedia)
