DJ X - Cherish The Day

I check out the Mediabase CHR-POP chart on a daily basis (at least the TOP 125 or so), but I've apparently overlooked this one. I was amazed to see DJ X's "Cherish The Day" on there with an incredible 53 spins over the past 7 days (up from 28 spins during the previous 7 days). Now this is either one courageous pop station doing this, or a whole bunch of stations playing it just a little bit. I do know this though. I liked it in 2004, and I can like it again in 2006 if it somehow (miraculously) becomes a hit on the radio.

THE MAJOR

This was a hit on WFHN Fun 107 when it was out then, and is still given a few spins...now that you mentioned it, i've been hearing it more lately

Actually it's neither. I pulled it up out of curiousity.
All of the spins fall on Saturday night between 9p and 12mid.
And it's one spin on each of 29 stations.
This indicates that the song was just played once on some syndicated show that all these stations happen to run on Saturday night (Open House Party?).

...Yeah, Its not bad,, I wouldnt call it GREAT,,, but definatly a worthwhile vocal track. Im surprised to see Jon Secada back after all these years, hasnt it been like 1994 since his last album???? Sorry for running off topic here.

Yeah, this was a great track. BTW, "Cherish the Day" was by Plummet. Granted, DJ X is half of the group Plummet (along with the female vocalist), but it was put out as Plummet. Their other two tracks, "Damaged" and the remake of "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" were good also. But "Cherish the Day" was the best one so far. I also, agree that the Antillas mix was better than the DJ X mix, and the Antillas mix was the one that got most of the airplay.

What You Wont Do For Love is a great track. This should be getting some spins at some stations soon. X did a great job with this one. It almost doesnt sound like one of his.

Secada worked with Miami's George Acosta on a couple of tracks in recent years.

I like pretty much everything DJX does, I am sure this one is hot too. BTW, I havent yet heard the DJX mix,, Ive only heard the remix that BPM on xm is playing. I didnt know you specifically meant the DJx mix, me bad... Im Retarded...lol.... I dont have access to hear every remix of every song before its released to the public, I have to rely on what Satelite, Internet, and clubs expose me to, until its available for legal download, or purchase. Im sure I,ll hear it soon somewhere, Im sure i,ll hear it on Iparty or Energy 98.....

Speaking of Plummet.. Cherish The Day, Fun 107 WFHN is playing that as we speak (6:29pm)...it is played still at least once a day + on here

Yes the Antillas remix is great. I also really dig the Stefano Sorrentino remix, which was actually the first version of the song I heard... great vibe on the house tip.

One of the few releases with some very different sounding remixes, where I liked them all. :)
