DLR @105.3 - Does Not Compute

I gave DLR a chance for the week. Just couldn't get it. I think Russ stated it very well after listening, DLR is a great guest, but to keep it going for 4 or more hours a day. Leave that to the pro's - A La Howard Stern.

How long before Russ takes the morning drive slot? Do you think DLR's contract has a NO CUT clause? I found my self going over to 92.5, Bo & Jim will benefit greatly as well as Cindy Scull. When Russ takes the morning slot do you think Pugs and Kelly will get the long overdue boot? Since, DLR took over, I have not stayed on 105.3 to listen to Pugs & Kelly.

With the current state of Dallas radio, I just had to buy my Sirius satellite radio. Howard Stern mornings and other new fresh programming, the future is NOW.

Party on dudes!!!

DLR does suck, CBS Radio is nuts for thinking that DLR could replace Stern. Like Russ said, they seemed quite content to go mad.

Too bad we're not in a "west coast market"..we'd be getting the greatness of carolla. How long before CBS radio offers corolla the jump to NYC and dumps Diamond Dave, EMT?

I guess there's not any way to get Carolla "live" here for Stern's old slot because of the time difference without him going to NY, but would a day tape delay of his show be all that bad? Sure you couldn't call in with a tape delay, but Carolla might be better than DLR.

On the other hand, a few callers on Leykis's show said that from what they heard so far, Carolla's show sucked too. I will give DLR a few more tries, it might get better (you never know).

from what i hear, carolla has zero interest in leaving la. so the tape dealy would be the only way. but, are you sure you want carolla? did you see that steaming pile of **** he laid on comedy central? damn, that might have been the worst talk show ever. made chevy chase and what's his name after conan look like superstars...

Listening right now...oh my!

This is really bad. First impression, the moron with the thick New Yawk accent has got to go. The guy can't complete a sentence. I can't even try to listen for any content if they keep letting him talk. This ain't gonna last long.

Oh and then there's the 2 minute Frinkle and Frinkle spot...what a beating.<P ID="signature">______________

I tried for a week to listen, never made it more than 10 minutes. The giggling hyena side kicks only make it worse. I'm out.

A lot of folks seem to be suggesting Carolla head to NYC and take over on the DLR stations... not gonna happen... from what I understand CBS wanted him to be the wholesale replacement for Howard and when he wouldn't leave LA, that's when they decided on the 3 different hosts thing. My guess is when DLR get the ax, they'll put Rover on all those sticks... of the 3 shows (and I've listened to them all online) his definitely has the most potential to work nationally.
