If so then a typical WIBC listener has a wet basement, is in heavy debt, is facing foreclosure, wants to stop smoking, suffers from psoriasis, hearing loss and erictile dysfunction.

X103 listeners are beer swilling rock concert goers who hang out in strip clubs when there's no concert in town.

Money is money, but do these spots turn off the majority of these station's listeners?

I think the colon cleaners will buy any station. Based on the number of ads for Activia yogurt, everyone needs some degree of colon cleansing.

I remember spots for the Art (on the westside) and Festival (in Irvington) theatres airing on 'XL. If I remember right, there's one of them on Shirk's aircheck on Reelradio.

Although I never experienced it, the commercials on WERK stuck in my mind ... Blackford County Drive-In ... "with red-hot, 1000-watt electric in-a-car heaters that make winter seem like summer". Marvelous Mark (McClure?) probably did the best rendition ... can you recall anyone else that did those XXX dittys?
