Do all Clear Channel CHR's pitch music?

It seems the majority of Clear Channel owned stations pitch their music 2-3 sometimes 4%, would this be fair to say?
Are there some that don't? Are there some that pitch more than 4%?
I swear I might have heard one that used to pitch 5% before they were bought out.

Good/Bad idea?

No. Z100 does not. I'm sure there are others.
Good idea or not, This was discussed not long ago. Scroll down thru the pages. You'll see it.

I listen to KDWB and KHKS and it doesn't sound like they are. If they are, it's minimal. Music on WKQI is insanely sped up. The songs don't sound right to me. Then again, I'm not a P1. Maybe their P1's don't notice it.

well, there's 2 down.... i knew Z100 doesn't nor WXKS in Boston.
i would like to know bc I'm getting that iheart radio application for my iPod and it would be interesting to know which ones pitch instead of having to through all of them and try and listen to it streamed rather than over the air.

And yes, we don't have to go into good/bad idea to pitch, that was already talked about.

I feel that the music sounds "hotter" when the it is pitched at 2%.

Asked and answered: Do all of them? No.

Why does this continue to be a topic of discussion? While the world of technology and other mediums pass radio by, and with ad dollars bleeding away, THIS is the most interesting thing we can think to talk about? No wonder our opinion of ourselves is so poor.

if you didn't like this post then you didn't have to post anything.

Back to the question, I am listening to WFBC and I'm wondering how much are they actually pitch?
It sounds like 5-6 percent at least! I really don't think it's 2 or 3.
Wow.

Yawn. While I appreciate "Generic Internet Answer #36," it doesn't answer my question.

As a community of people who supposedly care about the business, why bury our heads in inane details that don't move the needle? While you're worried about this, your listeners stopped caring about your product because you don't offer them anything they can't get from a lot of other sources.

You're welcome to carry on about this. But that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to raise another viewpoint and question it.

Some do, some don't. It's all about their choice.

What I do know is that both KIIS and Channel 955 pitch ridiculously.

Yes, the question was answered long ago in this post. Not all CC stations pitch, Z100 being the most famous example.

yes, thank you kms575 for that astounding, shocking answer

I'm guessing WFBC pitches 4% and speeds it up, because I pitched a song at that and it definitely wasn't right,

So you ask a question and then shoot down people who are tyring to answer it? Nice!
I'm on your side here. My point was that the question has been answered and the whole good/bad debate was thrashed out in earlier posts.

yes, I said that earlier. Disregard the good thing/bad thing to pitch, my original question was which Clear Channel stations pitch, if anyone could just name some that do/dont.
Thanks, and sorry for that kms575, i thought it was a negative comment, I've got alot of them lately

KIIS doesn't pitch it up nearly as much as WKQI. Channel 955 nearly renders songs wholly different.

Is it just me, or has Kiss 108 started pitching their music up again (slightly)?

hmmm.. i thought Kiss 108/Kiss 95.3 didn't pitch at all, last time I heard over the air (it's sometimes hard to hear the stream to see if they pitch)
I will have to listen in more.

By the way, to the people who have an iPhone/iPod touch, does the CC application "iHeart Radio" not work for the 2nd generation??
That sucks if it doesn't :(
