Do holiday mix weekends still exist?

If so, where? I'll be shocked if I hear any here in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

Can you believe these two wack a$$ stations here in Dallas/Ft. Worth is doing absolutely nothing? Bad enough they have cut their Saturday night mixshows to three hours.

KMEL and KDON is doing mixing all weekend, no mixes for wild 94.9, thats sort of weird

I recorded some of 102 Jamz off of the internet. That's what I've been having to do since market #5 is dead as Mayberry. I'm embarassed.

So far I've heard these stations Memorial Day mixing:
Blazin 92.3-Macon
99 Jamz-Miami
Power 92-Richmond
103 Jamz-Norfolk
Power 98.3-Phoenix
Hot 97.5-Las Vegas
103.5 The Bomb-Sacramento

Cool! I will definately check that out.

Im not sure I heard any on KPWR Power 106 in LA, but I did hear some mixing on KXOL Latino 96.3.

Here in NYC w e had a mix weekend on our urban stations

Hot 97 - All mix weekend
Power 105 - All Mix Weekend - some Pre Recorded mixes
98.7 kiss fm- Some mixes

HOT 107.9 here in ATL did some on & off "Memorial Megamix" mixes, but It wasn't what they usually do. HOT 107.9 was know for doing 72 hours non stop mixing on holidays

Yes, of course! It is still happening here in Az, although it's not as good as it used to be when it used to be just about 24/7 throughout the entire Holiday. Power 98.3 still does it, but it cuts off at night and resumes back in the morning. I believe they are back in the mix right now, since it is another summer weekend and it's after 11:16 am Sunday morning here.

I'm thinking certain stations in California SHOULD be doing it... it used to be so much fun in the past, especially when I got to visit the west coast or go to Cali and hear how well they did it on Power 106 and even Jammin Z90. I could only wish I was around WiLD 94.9 or lived in Cali where I could hear it during my younger years because as far as I'm concerned, WiLD 94.9 has always been one of the best and one of my favorites.

The last time we got super active in Ariz for the Memorial Day Weekend was back in 2005, when

Mega 104.3/99.3 (rhythmic oldies) mixed all weekend.
Power 92 The Hip Hop Station (rhythmic) mixed all weekend.
104.7 Kiss FM (Top 40) did a party weekend, playing old school and new school hits
Club 95 Latino Vibe (Latin Rhythm) ...well, they were new and already sounded good, so they just stayed the same and it still seemed like a big party with the incredible amount of mixing they did 7 days a week.

Energy 92.7 / 101.1 Arizona's Dance Authority (dance) mixed the house and trance ALL weekend.

That was the most we had going all at once, and it was almost as good as how it was done in California back in the late 90's for Labor Day and MOST OF DECEMBER for Christmas! If only this could happen again, with all the stations we NOW have in Ariz. that are rhythmic something!
