So.

Which station will be FIRST in your market with Christmas music this year?
And, if tradition is followed, the FIRST station IN ... WILL NOT RETURN ... IN that format.
'Tis the Season to be Holly Jolly and switch formats by the time the egg nog has gone sour.

So.

Unleash The Singing Dogs!
WHO is loading Elmo and Patsy at this very moment?

Probably the usual suspects. I don't think there is any station that will yank their format.

I also hope that we don't get treated to a "Cool Yule" this year on 92.1 and 100.1. Just stick to Classic Hits Radio. Please.

Personally I'm not a fan of an all-Christmas format (at the earliest) before Thanksgiving (Magic 93 if anyone, has it right), but seeing as Mannheim Steamroller is coming to Scranton on November 12, followed by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in Wilkes-Barre on November 20, I can see why the gun gets jumped. Which is sad.

So much for that. Santa came to Steamtown tonight. So did the Cool Yule. ::)

Gee what a surprize for Shamrock! Old Bill Lynett still thinks of those past glory years when he flipped 92.1 from Oldies and killed the station both in ratings and revenue. He still thinks putting Santa on will bring it back. Maybe it will come back with newspapers. Merry Christmas Bill!!!

Both Yes.com And The Cool 92 & 100 Website Song By Song Tracking Are Listing Christmas Songs But The Online Feed Is The Typical Oldies Format.

That's Par For The Course.

On purpose.....had to rewire on-line feed....Classic Hits listeners can still here the station on-line.

AHHH YESSSS
A far cry from two years ago when "The Q" played NO Christmas music until December 22nd. I actually got 3-4 phone calls every day from people thanking us for not over-doing it and telling us they switched to us from other stations. Too bad none of them stuck around after the holidays.... :'(..
