The Zany stunts on PLJ, most performed by Brad Blanks?
I read another note on another board that stated radio has to be exciting, not just in it's playlist, but also in whatever show is on.
True, I still find Scott and Todd funny, but if I where a kid of today, and not having grown up on radio, I don't think that would be enough
to tear me away from the IPod, what with commercials and often repeated songs.
The stunts, especially the bigger ones like the long island sound boat run, added some variety and 'bigness' to the show that no other station
tried to attempt in NY, at least.
Even if the stunts are gone, it might be kind of neat to have them broadcast in more interactive places once in a while. For instance, a Bowling Alley,
outside of Giants Stadium on the day of a big game, etc, if only to liven things up a bit and try to attract new listeners.
Agree, Disagree?
