do you think the pundit police are getting out of hand?

I don`t know what kind of news show david schuster does but with a program where opinions are discussed like chris matthews does on msnbc there is no reason he should appoligize being "unusually critical" of anyone.republican, democrat or whatever.

then on nbc norm mcdonald got fired from saturday night live because o.j. simpson`s golfing buddy who was an west coast executive disliked mcdonalds o.j. jokes.

I realize I jumped topics but it sort of fits in.a political commentator should be able to voice honest opinions about the candidates, not what the bosses want.

what do you think?

How about what *sponsors* want?

Oh, and did McDonald grovel afterwards?

if the sponsors caused matthews to apologize it is a sad state of affairs.it is a sad state of affairs anyway.the man should be able to speak his mind on that type of program.its not like the imas incident.people should be able to take negative comments of their favorite candidates or politicians and not demand apologies or firings.that goes for former football players also.

mcdonold discussed it with howard stern on the radio after howard brought it up.I am not sure what you meant by grovel.

I'll rephrase. Did McDonald humiliate himself before the Peacock/SNL? Slither like a snake towards them (not literally of course) in apology? How'd he sound on the topic when Stern brought it up?
