DO YOU WATCH "THE OFFICE" IN SYNDICATION ?

I like The Office and am a fan of it, but for some reason I only watch maybe 5 % of
them in syndication. Is this just me? Seems like much of the time when you see a
new episode on NBC it's interesting. Then in syndication, you are like I've already
seen that, it's OK but something better is probably on.

I used to like The Office but as the seasons went on, the storylines and characters weren't as entertaining and funny anymore. Parks and Recreation, which used to be called "The Office 2.0", is now the funnier of both shows.

Something similar happened to me with Seinfeld. I started watching syndicated shows, only because it came on after The Simpsons. I caught the beginnings, thought they were funny, and kept on watching. This was during the seventh broadcast season. I then started watching the Thursday night first run episodes and didn't like them as much. I saw the last episode, and only saw the "new" ones when they went into syndication.

No. Never. It's interesting because we've tried to watch it, but it's just not funny. Not even a little. I guess I just don't get the humor.

Nor do I get why Steve Carrell is supposedly funny or talented. To me, he just seems weird. And not a hilarious "weird" like Zach Galafianakis. Just weird.

My family and I love it so much we DVR every rerun episode from TBS and on our local station. When we can't find something on we want to watch, we filp over to an Office rerun. At just about any time of day or night you can hear the theme music playing from our den, and my 18 month old grandson dances like crazy from the first piano notes!

That's cute. I remember one night this week the Office episode was "Jim misses Pam
who is at art school in England." I remember that one and it was not that great, so I
didn't watch. But if it had been an original debut on NBC, I would probably have watched.

I can't watch it because of my dislike for Steve Carell. I remember seeing "40 Year Old Virgin" and loving that movie and him, but nothing else he has been in I have liked, even remotely.

Sometimes the style of the show wears on you after awhile. Like with "the Wonder Years." The voice overs were cute and funny for the first two years, then they got on my nerves

I would have kept watching if someone had popped Michael Scott in the jaw at some point, or six.
Like during the episode where he proposed to his girlfriend at an Indian wedding party, was it? (where she was dressed as a cheerleader because he told her to).
Or when he started dating Pam's mom and all the ridiculousness that he went into then.

Maybe there's a hidden secret Gervais-level social commentary on The Peter Principle in there that will be unveiled when the show ends, but I just stopped understanding how someone could be that socially inept and say the things he said and everyone else who was affected by his ineptness and awkwardness just made the JimPamEyes.

i never liked the office.i never saw anything about it to be funny.

It seems like the relative unpopularity of single-camera, no laugh track comedies that have been all the rage the past decade also carries over to syndication. The darlings of syndication seem to be the "tired" laugh track full sitcoms like "Friends" or "Seinfeld", while "the Office", "Entourage", etc all struggle when they're off network.

Plan on seeing a whole lot more of "Two and a Half Men" and "the Big Bang Theory" in the future of syndication, while critical darlings like "30 Rock" fade much more quickly.

We are creatures of habit, perhaps.

Or, perhaps, it is because "Seinfeld", "King of Queens" and "Friends" (to a lesser extent) are actually funny while "the Office" really isn't. It just seems strange and dreary.

NBC's fall schedule returns with a number of laugh track sitcoms. While some NBC shows like 'Community' are nice, they just don't get the ratings that a mainstream type sitcom like 'Two and a Half Men' gets. More mainstream fare is being encouraged again on NBC after a pretty long time - maybe it's Comcast's influence that wants to see the numbers/ratings rise on NBC to hopefully levels that CBS gets, as the CBS approach to sitcoms/comedies is more profitable.

Get ready for more Office from TBS. It's gonna be replacing Lopez Tonight during the Midnite Hour beginning this Monday the 15th.

I couldn't ever get into the American version of The Office. It got way too awkward at times. I saw the UK version on adult swim a while back. That was much better, imo. Then again, when it come to imports the original is often better than the Americanized version.
