Doc Holliday passes away

Doc and Johnny were one of the great combos in Orlando morning show history. Doc's career was never really quite the same after he exited XL.
RIP Doc.

I hate to hear this. I listened to him earlier in his career. When I was in high school in the mid 80’s, he did nights at WOKI Knoxville, TN when they were “Hits 100”. Back then he was using the “Shotgun Stevens” on air name. He went on to WDJX in Louisville afterwards before ending up in his longtime Orlando morning gig. One of the wildest & best CHR night jocks I ever heard back in his younger days.

Doc was radio thru-and-thru and cared about the profession. I recall he allowed Tommy and Paul who were fired from WHTQ to come on and say goodbye, and let Bill Cross and Alan Spector (the former BJ105 morning team) do a full show one morning before they left to go do a Jacksonville gig.
