Doc Medek To WXTU Philadelphia

froggy will survive...IF they do some major shuffling. And it depends on who they get to replace him. The rest of the air staff is gonna be ok, it's Selena and Jake I'm worried about
 
This now reunites two former NEPA personalities - Andie Summers got her start (hired by yours truly) at WKXP in Benton before moving to Froggy as "Dawn Early." She's truly a class act and one of the best females on the air. Andie and Doc should make a great pair - I'll have to listen via the Web to their show...

Would this be the same Doc Medek who used to work at WDNH-FM Honesdale years ago?
 
He use to program WKRZ and then left the company to program WBLI 106.1 and the came for mornings on WKRZ when Rocky and Sue left. Then Rocky and Sue came back to WKRZ and Doc took mornings on WGGY Froggy 101.3
 
So, what's the plan for mornings now that Doc is gone? Anybody heard any names or rumors?

Have heard a name mentioned. Not perpetuating the rumor save to say a name recognizable in the market. Don't know if it's a serious consideration or just a guess.
 
Doc was also the PD so they need a PD and a morning person. We all have to keep in mind that they could bring someone out of the market to be the PD like they did with WKRZ.

Doc worked here at KRZ first time round...left to go to Long Island...Then returned here for Froggy. Can't blame him for wanting to move on...Entercom is about as stable as Citadel these days!
 
VERY Happy for Doc WoW! Saw today they have the very capable WKRZ PD OD taking over WGGY duties... There goes another "budget cut" a very important position absorbed by another staff member.... real smart in a medium market--just when I thought Entercom was one of the better ones. ???
