I heard him on KLPX weekend days atleast 2 of the last 3 weeks.

Radio Bill,Hey - thanks for asking. I'm right here, doing weekends in Tucson at KLPX!However, I'm severely underemployed. There's just no openings right now for which I haven't already applied.I'm looking for something full-time and wish to stay in the Tucson market. I've been attempting to ascertain more info on the new KRDX, 98.5. If anyone knows of a contact, please provide. It would be most appreciated.BTW - I could tell many stories about the JOLT, but that's not how I operate.Party on, kids,DOC PHILLIPS

Doc...have I told you lately!! You Rock! One of the most professional men in this business in town. Lamey

lamey,Wow! How nice that is to hear. Thank you so much. I only wish "nice" would keep one employed. LOL

It should certainly get you more hours!!! (Nice AND professional sounding!!) How about tracking into other markets? If the guy from Mountain can do it in South Carolina and do a gig here in the afternoons, you got the know how!Lamey

Hey I don't know if Doc would want to return back to Sloansville again...seems like the Citadel folks would want a fast hot young buck DJ...or someone already at another Citadel property will apply and get the job. Maybe a return of "The Marty Party"???...or ok...you miss em, so lets bring back "Shotgun Ronnie".... :(

Still a big Doc fan....how is his son & family in Milwuakee doing??

XMAMFM,

Appreciate the thought, but I'm afraid NW Bobby is correct. Plus, Citadel terminated me. Don't really know why, but I've been doing this long enough to know that it just don't matter. ;)

NW Bobby - appreciate the kind words. You must know me based upon your post???

I really DO appreciate you all keeping an eye on my back. If ANY of you hear anything locally, please keep those cards and letters coming. I keep a pretty close eye on the market myself, but I don't mind if you post something of which I'm already aware. You just never know. And, yes... I'm still seeking another full-time gig here in town.

Hey Doc please spread the love at Lotus and say hi to Steph Freeze, Bobby Lewis, Chita....(Dave Shelton around any more??)you all were fun at Sloansville.....waking up mormings here at KBRC AM 1430 Mount Vernon, WA......small town radio, big time static!! :D
Bobby K!!!!!

Bobby,

Hey, dude... will-do! Um, since I only have 1 thing shorter than my memory (and, I'm NOT going there... ) I actually had to look you up via your station's website to figure out who you were. Now, I know! ;)

FYI - Dave Shelton just resigned - don't know where he went or what he's doing.

And, yes, "Slonesville" WAS fun... boy, how I wish Jim hadn't retired. Not just for selfish reasons, but radio lost some of its oomph with him gone. I still feel his influence, though.

Nice to hear from you.

Jim,

Great to hear from you! Nice to see you're still in San Antonio.

Say - need any imaging there? Know anyone who does?

Sometimes it's tough for an old saw to find the work he truly loves. For the first time in my career (and that's 30 years) I've actually had to take employment with a real job. This'll NEVER do. LOL
