Doc Phillips

If you have a moment, say a little prayer (or send some good vibes) to Doc. He has suffered a major heart attack and is being cared for at the ICU at NW. I believe he visits this board from time to time and it is hoped he will again. He's one of the good guys.

Doc is certainly one GREAT guy, and a real true professional. Doc, all of our positive vibes are headed to you. Hope you come through this totally recovered.

Sad to say our friend Doc Phillips passed away last night

No details regarding services are known at this time, but will post more as it becomes available.

Please keep his family in your prayers.

Tucsons radio community is a small one, and it feels like it just got a lot smaller.

A great Loss. Doc was a coworker at the stations I worked at in Tucson. When I was first dignosed Diabetic 16 years ago, he was very helpful in learning to cope with it. He will be missed.

I was really hoping he'd pull through. Sad day today. Not for him though....he moved on to a stronger signal.

Rest in peace, Doc.

One of the great ones to listen to as well - his recent weekend shifts were great fun to listen to.

RIP Doc. :'(

A best friend during my days at KWFM from 93 to 95, Doc will always be remembered. His positive spirit inspired me and so many others.

.... and the world of Tucson Radio indeed has gotten smaller. I worked with Doc while I was asst. Eng. at. Slone B'casting when he owned KIIM-FM. Doc Phillips was a true friend and like all of you, I too shall miss him. Descanse En Paz, Amigo.

There will be a celebration of Doc's life, as requested by his family, this Sunday starting at 1 p.m. at the KLPX/Lotus Broadcast Building. This will be an outside party, please bring your own laawn chairs(if you like), soft drinks and your favorite memories to share!

Hey there, Margie R had a link on her facebook page to some of the photos - looks as thought it was well attended by both Family and Friends. Ed Alexander, Pat Johnston, Jeff Conway, Margie and others from his Tucson Radio Days attended. I wish there was a way to get them up here?
