Doc Thompson of WRVA has died

from Jeff Katz facebook:

"Former WRVA talk show host Doc Thompson was struck and killed by an AMTRAK train near Dallas, Texas. Police report that he was jogging near the train tracks. He was 50 years old. He leaves behind a wife and three children. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers. Doc Thompson MoJo 5.0 Radio"

DFW area media is covering the story, they say he was jogging near the MoJo 5.0 studios in Haltom City when was killed by the Amtrak train. they also say the was earbuds found in the area of the track he was hit by the train. he didn't hear the train is most likely what happened.

my thoughts and prayers are with his family, those who knew him, the MoJo 5.0 staff and the trains conductor/engineer who had to watch helplessly as they hit him.
