Description
If you have been in broadcasting as long as I have, you know how radio should be done. I own a group of (2) fm stations and (1) am station in a small market in Northern Florida. I am looking for a hands on person to grow our company. This person would have to be flexible and live and breathe all areas of operating our group...from doing a live morning show...to sales to promotions to THE EAS requirements...to going to various meetings around town...Like I said...if you have any experience the way radio used to be done, then you know what I am talking about. Compensation will be based on your ability to grow our company. I am not looking for hot shots...I want a solid broadcaster mabye wishing to semi retire to North Florida. This would be your operation since I am an absentee owner, but I do expect performance. Hope to see if someone is out there and still believes in the way radio should be done.

Dockins' group of stations is located in Perry, Fla.

Jimc,
I would guess your inquiry is related to the ad shared by theradiopro. Fred Dockins is an old time radio guy. He pretty much says it all with: "...if you have any experience the way radio used to be done, then you know what I am talking about." meaning small town mom & pop radio in its heyday. Fred also has stations in Missouri where he now lives so he is looking for someone to be freddockins 2.0 in Perry I guess. We have always managed to miss each other during his infrequent trips to Perry but we have spoke on the phone at length about radio in general and his Perry stations.

"Hope to see if someone is out there and still believes in the way radio should be done." You gotta love this guy.

Thanks. friend of mine is looking.

I had never heard of Fred Dockins.

Perry, small town. any business to potentially support them in ad $$ ?
